2 Yellow squash
4 Medium carrots
2 Zucchini
½ tsp Kosher salt
½ tsp Course black pepper
½ tsp Garlic, fresh and chopped
Butter flavored oil (desired amount)
1 large ziploc bag
1. Cut cleaned zucchini, carrots and yellow squash into five to six inch long sticks. Sticks should be about ½ inch thick for grilling.

2. Place the veggie sticks in a large ziploc bag. Add kosher salt, course black pepper, fresh chopped garlic, and butter flavored oil. Garlic, salt and pepper should be added according to your taste. Use just enough oil to coat the veggie sticks (too much oil will create smoke that will turn the veggies gray).

3. Seal and shake the bag to coat the veggies evenly.

4. Begin grilling the carrots as they will take longer than the zucchini and yellow squash. Grill carrots for about 4-5 minutes.

5. Grill zucchini and yellow squash about 3-4 minutes or until al dente.

6. Serve with dinner or enjoy as a snack.

4 Chicken breasts
1 One gallon ziploc bag
4 onion rolls, toasted
Famous Dave’s Chicken Marinade (approximately ½ cup per chicken breast)
Limes, fresh (desired amount)
Famous Dave’s Texas Pit Sauce (desired amount)
Orange marmalade (desired amount)
Monterey Jack cheese (desired amount)
Grilled pineapple (desired amount)
Bacon (desired amount)
1. Six to eight hours before eating, trim the fat from the chicken breasts and place breasts in a gallon ziploc bag. Pour Famous Dave’s Chicken Marinade (about ½ cup per chicken breast) into the bag. Squeeze limes into the bag. Seal and refrigerate.

2. After refrigerating, remove chicken breasts from bag and season both sides with Famous Dave’s Country Roast Chicken Seasoning.

3. Grill to 165º internal temperature.

4. Just before the chicken breasts are finished grilling, brush them with Famous Dave’s Texas Pit Sauce, combined with Orange Marmalade Sauce.

5. Add Monterey Jack cheese, grilled pineapple and bacon.

6. Serve on a toasted onion roll.

The students who sit in the front rows will be tomorrow’s leaders driving the marketplace, the leaders in their communities, and the ones who step up to make the world a better place. Front Row Seaters are eager, they are ambitious, and they have an above average drive to make the best of their learning opportunities. They have a relentless drive to be front and center where all the action takes place. Being a front row seater means you have to come early… you have to put some effort and energy into scrambling for the highly prized front row seats. There is thought and some strategy necessary for getting the best seat possible.

Being where the teacher can see you means that you need to be fully prepared because you might be called on. Sitting as close to the instructor also shows respect for their knowledge and their efforts to teach you. Being a Front Row Seater also means that you need to take good care of yourself because you are conscious of making a good impression. Being a Front Row Seater means that you are confident with a healthy self-esteem; sitting in front of all the other students, subject to their critical eye as they notice everything you do. By the way, being in the front rows is also a good reason to be a very good note taker…the instructor, teacher, or seminar leader notices quite easily who are the ambitious note takers. Your industriousness in taking notes will be thought about when leadership opportunities are discussed. Here’s a good reason why you want to be noticed by your instructor: Everyone needs letters of recommendation for getting into a school of higher learning or for getting your dream job. The Demise Of The Back Row Seater

Back Row Seaters signal to the world that they really don’t care. Back Row Seaters, do you realize that not only are you are condemning your future but you are condemning your children by where you sit? When you sit in the back rows you are establishing a pattern for life. You squash any ambition you have by settling for the seats that are left over. It takes no effort to get a back seat. You can come in late. You sit in the back where you will not be noticed. You have a good chance of escaping being called on so you can get by not being fully prepared for class. Sitting in the back rows show you have no respect for the teacher. You can be sloppy in appearance because no one will notice you in the back rows. Creating a great future for yourself is not in your plans… as you would rather sit with your other jackass friends and goof off. Back row seaters usually end up wondering how come the rewards of life have passed them by. They get passed over for raises, promotions, and prime assignments that can lead to career changing opportunities. Ask yourself… Where else does this “back row seater mentality” show up in my life and how has this held me back? Don’t let your back row seating casualness turn you into one of life’s casualties!

John spoke and it was totally unexpected but he gave a very powerful meaningful talk from his heart… this was nothing short of amazing how we can make a difference in our communities!

It takes us supporting each other and willing to walk across town to support each other. John Luke welcomed the new graduates and committed to The Ivy Executives wanting to work together to make Minneapolis a greater city!

John shared that when he found out that the executives of the Hotel Ivy were graduating… he said he instructed his own executive team to figure out how to get their duties covered and he marched his whole team through the skyways to come over to the Hotel Ivy.

This is the first time I have seen two competing properties come together like this and it wasn’t about business… it was about celebrating the human spirit and recognition that lives have been transformed for the better…this is what need more of in this world

The energy in the room was incredible and electric… and it was nothing short of powerful to see the Hilton Executives cheering on the Hotel Ivy executives.

I am personally grateful for having the opportunity to attend on team the last two days… it was good for me to be in the positive energy that was created in this room this evening! Even though I have been a founder of this program… I found myself rethinking many things and I am not embarrassed to say this was very much needed in my life. Don’t be above sharing your own gifts in helping others experience this wonderful life transformational experience!

Dave’s Famous Honey Buttered
Buttermilk Corn Bread
(home version)

2/3 cups  All Purpose Flour
2/3 cups  Jiffy Yellow Cake Mix*
2/3 cups  Yellow Corn Meal
1/4 cup  Light Brown Sugar Packed
2 teas   Baking Powder
1 teas   Salt

1 cup   Buttermilk
1/4   Oil
1   Egg Beaten
1/3 cup  Hellman’s Mayonnaise

1/4 cup  Clover Honey
1/2 cup  Melted Butter

* If you can’t find Jiffy Yellow Cake Mix…use the cheapest possible… they seem to work better for cornbread!

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

9 inch cake pan greased with butter

Mix all the dry ingredients together.

Pour the wet ingredients together but do not mix. Add the 1/3 cup Hellman’s Mayo to the rest of the wet ingredients and then mix slightly just enough to slightly blend together.

Pour Wet ingredients into dry mixture and lightly blend together… do not over mix …blend just enough until the dry ingredients are wet.

Whip somewhat soft room temperature butter with honey.

Pour into greased cake pan and then bake for 25 minutes until top is golden brown and the center is somewhat firm and a knife when inserted is clean when removed.

Immediately after removing from oven brush tops with Honey Butter… serve warm.
